Chef Townsend Wentz is the Chef/Owner of three highly acclaimed restaurants in Philadelphia — Townsend (French), A Mano (Italian) and Oloroso (Spanish). Prior to opening his and first eponymous restaurant in 2014, Wentz held a number of executive chef positions in New York, Connecticut and Philadelphia. Wentz credits his unyielding dedication to excellence to Chef Jean-Marie Lacroix — under whom Wentz worked for more than a decade, first at the legendary The Fountain at the Four Seasons, and later at Lacroix at The Rittenhouse.

Wentz holds degrees in Chemistry and Biology from Rutgers University, however as fate would have it- the real chemistry was created in the kitchen. All three of Wentz’s restaurants are award-winning and have earned “Three Bell” reviews by noted and respected Philadelphia Inquirer restaurant critic Craig LaBan. His restaurants have been featured in national and international press, such as Food & Wine, GQ, and British GQ.
